Temple designed by Thai artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat, renowned for his murals depicting the life of Buddha.
This white temple is a sumptuous contemporary architectural work by Thai artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat. Started in 1997, it is encrusted with thousands of pieces of mirror. The temple sparkles in the sun and gives an immaculate appearance. It withstood the earthquake of 2014! Inside a mural representing the life of Buddha, where heterogeneous characters like Spiderman, Kung Fu Panda or Darth Vader are mixed.

Après un mois en Thaïlande, on vous annonce la couleur. Blanc certainement mais complètement dingue, il faut le voir pour le croire. Temple complètement artistique comme la plupart de la région mais avec beaucoup de détails assez loufoque vous pouvez passer un certain temps a en découvrir quelque soit l'endroit où vos yeux se poseront. En pleine extension il auras le mérite de vous faire revenir. Prenez le temps de passer par la galerie qui est accessible gratuitement.

Site grandiose,que vous pouvez admirer de l’extérieur mais un conseil: payez l'entrée et accédez à un somptueux temple.A une quinzaine de kilomètres de chiang Rai la visite vaut vraiment le détour...

Le fameux white temple est vraiment incontournable si vous êtes dans la région. Entrée à 50 Baths. Venez tôt le matin pour éviter la grande masse de touristes. Le temple en lui même est une très belle œuvre, ne ratez pas un des pans de murs à l'intérieur avec ses peintures plus que modernes !

When you arrive pess of the white temple you are amazed by so much originality. There is the temple itself, but around you, you will see a multitudes of statues that frame the white temple. You'll be surprised, surprised every time you move in the visit. At the end, don't miss the exhibition in a tek building. We can't go through Chiang Rai without making an arret at the Wat Rong Khun.

Un temple incroyable, qui ne ressemble à aucun autre ! Mais c'est très très fréquenté. Pensez à prendre des photos de l'extérieur; une fois dans le flux de touristes, on ne peut plus s'arrêter pour prendre des photos.
