This Night Bazaar is the modern, urban version of the ancient trading caravans of the mountain ethnic groups of the Golden Triangle.

One of Chiang Mai's major attractions is its famous Night Bazaar, the urban and modern version of the ancient merchant caravans of the mountain peoples of the Golden Triangle. All along Chang Khlan Road, a series of stands selling clothes, crafts, various and varied foods line up one behind the other. Several covered shopping malls are scattered along the route, such as the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar Building, filled with crafts and antiques, or the Galare Food Centre, for the gourmands.

animation et restauration au night bazar
Côté est extérieur du "carré", zone animée pour début de soirée avec innombrables achats possibles sur multi stands de rue ou de galerie marchande, plus une immense zone de restauration intérieure où on a l'embarras du choix pour déguster les plats typiques, bonne qualité et bon prix. à faire au moins une fois.

De quoi flâner un bon moment entre tous ces stands où on trouve toutes sortes de bibelots, artisanats, vêtements....
On peut également se restaurer.

Cet immense marché de nuit est très animé, et on aime flâner entre les nombreux stands et restaurants. Même s'il y a de nombreuses babioles et contrefaçons, on trouve aussi de l'artisanat sympa, et meilleur marché qu'à Bangkok.
