A temple built by King Boromaraja II, housing two chedi, a majestic prang and thousands of votive tablets
It was built by King Boromaraja II (1424-1448). He first built two chedi, still visible, to house the ashes of his two elder brothers, princes Ai and Yi, who killed each other in a duel on elephant-back. Next came the majestic prang , still in very good condition (albeit slightly cemented), in whose chamber over a hundred thousand votive tablets were found. Traces of paintings from the period remain on the walls. The painting gallery is sometimes open to the public.
