Since 1991, during the first days of January each year, Los Antiguos celebrates the cherry by organizing a festival in its honor.

Los Antiguos is famous throughout Argentina for being the cherry capital. Since 1991, during the first days of January, the city celebrates the red fruit every year by organizing a festival in its honor. After the cherry harvest the locals gather around craft exhibitions, tastings and concerts. The cherry is cooked in all kinds of sauces! Renowned Argentinean artists come to perform and thousands of people converge here for what is one of the biggest festivals in the region
