GLACIARIUM
Recent museum with architecture reminiscent of the jagged wall of the Perito Moreno glacier, featuring a -10°C ice bar in the basement
This recent museum inaugurated in 2011 is one of the few museums in the world on this theme, so it is worth your visit if you want to learn everything about glaciers, their formation, their geology, the stakes involved in their conservation, the poles... The 2,500 m² exhibition is a success, as is the architecture of the building, which is reminiscent of the jagged wall of the Perito Moreno glacier. Curious visitors will be surprised to find an ice-bar in the basement. You'll be equipped with jackets and gloves, to withstand the -10°C temperatures that prevail in the pretty ice cave carved out of the seats at the counter.
