Park with 2 distinct parts, one made up of mountain rainforest and the other with steppe and home to the condor
In the Ledesma region, the park is composed of two distinct parts: one made up of mountain rainforests, the yungas, where many species live, and the other part, the steppe, which starts at an altitude of 3,000 m, with the condor as the main occupant. Created in 1979, the park's mission is to preserve the subtropical rainforests of the Andes Cordillera and the mountain water basins that feed the Rio San Francisco.
