Founded in 1928, this museum and research centre for anthropological researchers, presents the pre-Hispanic cultures of the Northwest: Tafi culture, La Candelaria, Ciénaga, Condorhuasi, Aguada, Santamariana, Belén and Inca cultures. The exhibition presents Bolivian and Peruvian mummies, carpets, ornaments and ceramic pieces.
Ethnology section where masks, weapons and fabrics of the Chiriguanos, Chanés, Matacos, Tobas and Onas are found.
