Promenade of Glory featuring life-size sculptures of basketball players, tennis legends, golfers, boxers and other stars.
Hollywood has its Walk of Fame, Buenos Aires now has its Paseo de la Gloria. San Antonio Spurs basketball player Manu Ginóbili inaugurated the concept by unveiling his life-size sculpture, the work of sculptor Mario Benavidez. Tennis legends Guillermo Vilas and Gabriela Sabatini completed the dream team in 2014, followed by Lionel Messi, golfer Roberto de Vicenzo, Leonas (field field hockey) star Luciana Aymar and boxer Pascual Pérez to name a few. It's a pity that most of the sculptures have deteriorated.
