CONFITERÍA DEL MOLINO
Facing the National Congress, this imposing 20th-century building is considered one of the capital's emblems of Art Nouveau. Designed by Italian-Argentinian architect Francisco Gianotti, it housed a famous confectionery for almost 100 years, closing its doors for good in 1997. Many local celebrities have trodden its path. Abandoned for over 15 years, the building underwent a lengthy restoration in 2018. Guided tours, with limited places available, are offered to learn more about the history of this emblematic building.
