THE SANCTUARY AT TISSAWEWA

A magnificent address in the middle of a haven of peace that we can only recommend. This old house with its charming veranda dates from 1907 and was the residence of British civil servants. The 22 rooms were renovated in 2013 but have all kept their old style. Due to its location in the sacred area, no alcohol is served in its restaurant. Remember to make reservations as this is one of the few accommodations in the old city.
