Bank of Ceylon is a bank located in Colombo. It offers term deposits of 100, 200 and 400 days, with attractive returns starting at 500,000 rupees. Interest rates range from 11% to 14% p.a., depending on the length of the deposit. The bank also offers instant loans of up to 90% of the deposit amount. Deposits are securely guaranteed. Individual residents in Sri Lanka over the age of 18, institutions registered in Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan nationals over the age of 18 residing abroad on a working visa are eligible to open an account.
