GOSTILNA BUJOL

Atypical tavern in the heart of downtown Izola. We go there for the house specialties - fresh fish and tender shellfish, stewed meat dishes typical of the region - accompanied by a glass of malvasia. The flavors of Istria and the Mediterranean are reflected in the simple, home-style presentation of the dishes. Desserts are not quite up to scratch, as is often the case in Slovenia, but the quality/price ratio is nonetheless excellent if you're looking for the quintessential local address, without the fuss.
