Confectioners and confectioners from all over the country offer their finest desserts and sweets just a stone's throw from the sea.

The Sladka Istra (Sweet Istria) Dessert and Sweets Festival is the largest event of its kind in Slovenia, traditionally held in Koper at the end of September. Visitors taste various desserts, sweets, sweet wines, beers and other sweet drinks, as well as honey products with tasting coupons. There are many confectionery workshops and to close the weekend three competitions will be held to elect the best sweets, the best dessert and the best sweet wine of Istria.
