CHURCH OF SAINT STEPHANE (CERKEV SV. STEFAN)

This originally Gothic church, with its beautiful and imposing bell tower, was of major religious importance in the region after its construction in the 16th century. The frescoes are signed by the hand of Franc Jelovšek, who helped to "baroque" the building. Several architectural additions have been made over time: paintings by Janez Nepomek, Janez Wolf, or the design of the white marble altar by Zipperl of Gorica.
