CHURCH OF SAINT JACQUES (SVETI JAKOB)

According to sources, the location of this church is almost a thousand years old. The Church of St. James was completely rebuilt in the 15th century at a time when Škofja Loka enjoyed a certain influence in the region. Lovers of sacred architecture will appreciate the meticulous brushstrokes used by Jernej de Loka to paint his frescoes. It must be said that this artist was not at his first try! Interior modernized thanks to the indications of Plečnik.
