JOURNÉE PREŠEREN DE LA CULTURE

8 February is a public holiday and is the day of culture in Slovenia in honour of Mr Prešeren, the lyricist of the national anthem. All day long, a series of events and activities take place in the town where he ends his days, with the participation of around 50 craftsmen proudly displaying their work. The museums are free. Horse-drawn carriage rides are possible... Kranj then becomes the Slovenian capital for a few short hours.
