Ice rinks and Christmas markets warm hearts. Ljubljana's Christmas market, with its many local craftsmen, is a favourite.

Dozens of wooden huts have been set up along the Ljubljanica river and offer typical and handcrafted products (honeys, candles, pumpkin oil, etc.). There is mulled wine and numerous open-air concerts. The decoration of Preseren Square is generally worth a visit.
