The Ljubljana Marathon, first held in 1996, is scheduled every last Sunday in October. The race allows you to visit all the districts of Ljubljana at a run, passing by the banks of the Ljubljanica River and the municipal marshland. The last winner in 2019 is the Ethiopian Kelkile Gezahegn Woldaregay in 2h7. Family marathon, with only 1,500 participants on average, and special races for juniors.
