IPIL BEACH

Ipil beach is better known locally as Mabua Pebble Beach. Mabua is the name of the barangay where it is located and Pebble means "pebble" in English. It lies close to the center of Surigao City and is famous for its white and gray pebbles, in all shapes and with smooth walls. Careful not to slip, it's pleasant to walk barefoot on these pebbles which, according to certain beliefs, have restorative virtues for body and mind. There aren't many people around, it's quiet and it's a change from sand!
