This is where many of the dinosaur skeletons and eggs on display in museums were discovered. No more excavation sites can be seen, but the site remains interesting for its ochre-colored cliffs that rise up in the heart of a vast flat expanse. Other sites famous for the presence of fossils and for their often very impressive landscapes are located further west of theaimag: Khermen Tsav, Bugiin Tsav, Ulaan Tsav and the Altan and Nemegt mountains. Great walks are to be organized to reach the top of the "pink cliffs", also commonly called "red sofa", because of their extensive shape and color.
