DELGERYN CHOIRA MONASTERY

Established on the ruins of a monastery destroyed during the Stalinist purges in the 1930s, this monastery consists of two temples, one of which is temporarily installed under a ger. We strongly recommend the visit of the temple in hard, the one called "of the joy". It is absolutely superb with its immense Buddha and its multiple gildings. A new temple was recently built on the site, proof of the revival of Buddhism in this isolated region.
