Near the Zaisan Memorial, the Buddha Park is a site where the people of Ulaanbaatar like to come and walk. Relatively small, it is easily recognizable by the large (16 m high) representation of Sakyamuni Buddha, known as the founder of Buddhism. Its installation dates back to 2007. During its erection, the statue was filled with five tons of juniper. Apart from this statue, the park is not of major interest but travelers going to the Zaisan memorial can take the opportunity to make the necessary detour.
