This religious event celebrating Zanabazar features Buddhist rites, religious songs, Tsam dances and sports competitions.
Danshing Naadam is a religious event, not to be confused with the Naadam festival. Forgotten for almost a hundred years, it has been celebrated again since 2015 and dedicated to the first Bogdo Gegen, Zanabazar. For two days, Buddhist rites and ceremonies are performed, along with religious songs and dances, including the Tsam dance, performed by lamas wearing costumes and masks depicting characters from Buddhist legends. Archery, wrestling and horse racing competitions are also organized during the event.
