Historic building with eclectic architecture and a facade resembling that of Italian buildings
After seven years of work, the historic building has been restored to its former glory. Built in 1882, its architecture is eclectic. The metal halls came entirely from Scotland, while the façade resembles those of 19th century Italian buildings. One section is dedicated to meat and fish, the other to fruit, vegetables and spices, while in the central part of the market you can find a bit of everything, cheap souvenirs, fashion accessories and leather goods.

Incontournable, la visite du marché Adolfo Lisboa de Manaus ! Pour l'allure du bâtiment d'abord, très belle, et pour les produits qu'on y trouve ensuite. Il y a la partie viande et poisson, avec de beaux étals, celle dédiée à l'artisanat et aux produits régionaux, et puis celle des plantes, qui donne sur le port. Bon à savoir quand on est en voyage : aux toilettes, très propres, il y a aussi des douches ! Le prix est modique (ça doit être 50 centavos ou 1 real). Et puis des resto ou bouis-bouis où manger, souvent bons et à des prix très corrects. Côté extérieur, donnant sur la rue, de petites boutiques aux produits divers et prix très intéressants (boutique d'artisanat, de produits d'hygiène, bureau de tabac traditionnel, etc).

Voilà un incontournable à visiter à Manaus, des bâtiments de style Baltard.Annoncé comme un peu risqué à visiter, nous n'avons rencontré aucun soucis dans le marché que se soit le marché des bananes,que le marché couvert ( vraiment typique ) vous verrez tous les types de poissons provenant de l'Amazonie...Vraiment très intéressante visite.
