ZOOLÓGICO DO CIGS

The attraction is located in the Centro de Instrução de Guerra na Selva (CIGS) of the Brazilian army. For the Little Traveller, the purpose here is not to promote this training centre, but the zoological garden that it administers. These ex-situ centers dedicated to the safeguarding of protected areas recover poached and/or wounded animals and take care of them. Jaguars, monkeys, tapirs, snakes, parrots and other animals of the region stay in this extensive green area waiting to be released or stay if the return is not possible.
