The city of Santana offers little interest in itself. It is a port town, 20 km from Macapá. Nevertheless, you can go to the island opposite the city. And this is the starting point for the railway that leads you to the Serra do Navio and also the only place where you can take the boat for a wonderful journey to the destination of Belém. The hammock is still the best way to travel to the Amazon, mainly by boat. But it is also possible to rent a cabin if you get there on time.
