Well-restored Baroque church housing the Pará Museum of Sacred Art with statues and religious objects
Built by the Jesuits in the 17th century, the Igreja de Santo Alexandre houses the Museum of Sacred Art of Pará. Inaugurated in 1719, the city's first church is an important heritage in the country. Its four-story baroque façade has been very well restored. Inside, the visitor finds a nave, eight side chapels, and richly carved wooden elements.
The museum's collection includes statues and religious objects in wood and silver from the 18th and 19th centuries.
