Travel Guide Cristalina

Cristalina is a place of passage, a small town in the state of Goiás, 136 km from Brasília, known worldwide for its multiple trades in semi-precious and precious stones and its topaz deposits. For many years, the economy of Cristalina was based on the exploitation of crystals. The mineral production was exported in large part to various European countries. The European nobility was the main buyer of the production. In the 70's, with the arrival of farmers from the south of the country, the monoculture of extractive gave way to plantations of different agricultural crops thanks to the fertility of the soil.
