It is often said that one cannot leave the Nordeste without trying the traditional tapiocas, the traditional cassava cakes that are very popular in the Nordeste. Since 2002, more than 25 tapioqueiras, women specializing in tapioca production, have been grouped together in this centre, which is entirely dedicated to them. In addition to the traditional assortments, more than 70 flavours of tapioca are on offer, including carne seca, queijo coalho, ham... It is difficult not to find something to satisfy a small hunger.
