SEMANA DE AFRÂNIO PEIXOTO

It is a cultural week in honour of one of the most famous citizens of Lençóis, Dr. Peixoto (1876-1947), who was a doctor, politician, professor, literary critic, novelist, essayist and historian. The week is marked by the organization of numerous cultural events, and is also an opportunity to commemorate the emancipation of the city's slaves, in the beautiful setting of the city of Lençois and the Chapada Diamantina.
