The Christmas period in Salvador de Bahia and on the Pelourinho is always very lively with many concerts and animations

Salvador de Bahia is a deeply religious and mystical city and the Christmas period is necessarily important for the small Bahian people. December is a very festive month in Pelourinho. Artistic presentations, concerts and parades mark the end of the year and the Christmas celebrations. Children's areas are offered on the terreiro de Jesus, with distribution of toys and Christmas cards to children. The program is almost daily in the many squares of the neighborhood. Access is free.
