It's often said that Minas Gerais is another "cheese country". Of course, these dairy products are not as varied as their counterparts in old Europe, but they're well worth knowing. The Ouro Canasa Q'jeiria store is entirely dedicated to cheese in all its forms. It offers a wide variety of artisanal products from Mineiras and Brazilian farms. You'll also find fine hams and mouth-watering chutneys. Last but not least, the staff are particularly knowledgeable and generous with their explanations.
