Beautiful church with gilded altars, Portuguese paintings and Bohemian crystal chandeliers, as well as a fine baroque and gilded organ.

Its construction began in 1760 and was financed by the diamond merchant Fernandes de Oliveira, the lover of Chica da Silva. It is the most beautiful church in the city, with rich gilded altars, 18th century Portuguese paintings, Bohemian crystal chandeliers and a beautiful baroque and gilded organ. The interior is decorated with beautiful ceiling paintings, with works by Manoel Pinto and Aleijadinho. The organ is used from time to time by the church's organists.
