Museum exhibiting three collections testifying to the evolution of Minas Gerais culture and art.
The museum has three collections that testify to the evolution of Minas Gerais culture and art: the collection of sacred art from the 18th and 19th centuries, the collection of the Minas Public Archives and the collection of the State Art Gallery. The building, of neoclassical architecture, is the seat of the former Mineiro Senate, now abolished, in a beautiful house from the end of the 19th century that is part of the architectural heritage of the city of Belo Horizonte. The permanent exhibition is not thrilling, unless you are a fan of sacred art.
