The Mineirão is a soccer stadium with 62,000 seats inaugurated in 1965. It hosts both the matches of the resident team Cruzeiro and shows of international and national pop stars. The stadium hosted 6 matches during the 2014 World Cup, and it was here that Brazil suffered a historic 7-1 rout against Germany in the semi-finals.

The Museu Brasileiro do Futebol (MBF) opened its doors in 2013 and offers various exhibitions related to the history of soccer in Brazil. In short, it is the Maracana of BH.
