If you're hungry without any predefined idea, the recanto gastronomic centre is bound to appear as a good place to go in the city. It indeed gathers 4 restaurants: the Recanto dos Pescadores, specialities of fish and seafood, the Recanto Sushi with a formula sushis, sashimis and skewers at will, the Casa da Pincanha, specialities of meats on the grill and finally the Recanto do Fondue. The dishes of "tropeiros", i.e. livestock keepers, are also worth knowing.
