The only black-sand beach with a cool, gentle river and rocky outcrops giving it a Seychelles look

Praia Preta beach differs from the other beaches on the beautiful island of Ihla Grande. It's the only black-sand beach accessible from Abraão, a 20-minute walk towards the ruins of the lazaretto, the island's former quarantine center for immigrants in the ^19th and early ^20th centuries (a sort of little Ellis Island...). It's a very pleasant beach, with a cool river that flows into it. You can continue your walk along the Praia do Galego to reach the aqueduct. Its rounded rocks give it an undeniable Seychelles look.

Plage facilement accessible (une quinzaine de minutes à pied à partir du centre du village d'Abraao).
Elle est grande, mais rapidement à l'ombre.
Bel arrêt baignade.
