Urca Beach, at the foot of the morro of the same name, overlooking Botafogo Bay

Urca is certainly a little piece of paradise at the foot of the Sugar Loaf. This small and very sought-after neighbourhood, where many soldiers live, like the neighbourhoods in the southern zone, called "Côté mer" by Le Petit Futé, has a small beach. The small beach of Urca, at the foot of the morro of the same name, would be exquisite if it were not regularly unsuitable for swimming. The view over the bay of Botafogo is worth a visit. Stop at the Bar Urca, the famous beachfront bar, or the Garota Da Urca to enjoy it.
