A ruined house that has retained its original vocation as a cultural meeting place: an auditorium and temporary exhibitions
Due to its privileged location, in the heart of Santa Teresa and overlooking the city, the Ruins Park is a belvedere of Rio de Janeiro, yet little known and little visited. The Parque Das Ruinas is actually a ruined house, as its name suggests, a remnant of the Murtinho Nobre Palace. This former palace retains today its original vocation as a cultural meeting place: an auditorium with a hundred seats - and temporary exhibitions. A visit to the Ruins Park ideally precedes or follows a visit to the Chacará do Ceú Museum, located just a few steps away.
