Baroque octagonal church perched on a hill, housing a museum dedicated to religious art and emperors

Its strange octagonal baroque architecture dates back to 1714. Perched on a hill of 61 m, surrounded by palm trees, this church is the symbol of the district of Gloria; It offers a nice view of Flamengo Park and Guanaraba bay in the distance. Blue and white azulejos decorate the interior; a museum devoted to religious art and the emperors, who baptized their offspring here, completes the visit.
