It is the information office in Rio of the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism dedicated to the international promotion of Brazilian tourism. This structure is very important for a country with a huge potential that struggles to attract foreign tourists, except for its South American neighbors. Embratur's headquarters are in Brasilia, but the Congress is talking about moving it to Rio, as it was when it was the capital of Brazil. The Rio office is located in the center, near the Uruguaiana subway stop (avoid it at night). Services vary.
