GRANDE PRÊMIO BRASIL

Brazil, it is not always known, is a great country of the equestrian art. The Pessoa family (Nelson, the father, affectionately called "the sorcerer" and Rodrigo the son) has long embodied this tradition. The Grande Prêmio Brasil is the major Brazilian event in the equestrian calendar. It takes place every first weekend of August at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Gávea. Even if you are unfamiliar with the sometimes stuffy atmosphere of the equestrian world, the sumptuous setting and the Brazilian fervor make this competition inevitably attractive.
