This magnificent early 20th-century house has been restored and decorated with beautiful designer and colonial furniture. Casa Amarelo is an intimate boutique hotel where you'll feel right at home, with discreet, attentive service to boot. Admire the exotic wood floors and panelling, the magnificent original mosaics, the high ceilings and the veranda's huge picture windows, through which you can take in the whole of central Rio in a single glance. The rooms are all different, elegant, comfortable and quiet, with an aesthetic that blends colonial charm with an arty bohemian accent. What's more, Laurent and his staff welcome you in French. Breakfast is princely, with homemade fruit juices, cakes and other delicacies served wherever you like (on the lounge table, in the garden...) and at whatever time you like. The excellent restaurant, Bistrô Jardim Royal, is also open to non-residents.

Five large, even very large, en suite rooms. Large style mansion early century, tr& ès nicely decorated with an agency with designer, combining the classical and contemporary. Large tropical garden with beautiful outdoor.
Guest house very well located below Santa Teresa, in a very safe corner, very practical walk in the centre and Lapa (districts of music and concerts) or 10 minutes with Christ, the sugarloaf or on the beaches.
Excellent advice, French, very good service and delicious breakfasts served in the garden or one of the lounges.
