There are few activities offered in the northern area of Rio, yet for many years now, Adegao has been a staple of Portuguese cuisine. Opposite São Cristovão's famous northeast fair, this restaurant specializes in cod dishes (bacalhau) , which are served in a variety of equally refined preparations. The feijoada is also very famous on Saturdays. In the evening, the area is not very safe, but the restaurant and the interior of the fair are quiet when you go there by taxi.
