Part bar, part restaurant, this little establishment with its white-tiled walls has a charm that appeals to tourists and locals alike. People come here for the daily special at lunchtime, as well as for the black bean, kale and dried meat fritters, or the more traditional tomato, cheese and herb fritters, which you can nibble on with friends. Excellent and very hearty feijoada too. It's also one of the best caipi in Rio, according to our friend Fred. It doesn't take long to get into the soul of Santa Teresa, chatting with your neighbor. An institution with a local soul.
