APARTHOTEL JARDIN DE MENORCA ^{* * * *}

An excellent hotel with staff that went out of their way to help me (I'm disabled). The room was spacious and airy with a lovely balcony and chairs, the outside bar area was shady - a great relief from the fierce late summer sunshine we enjoyed - and the restaurant was a delight to eat in, with a terrace overlooking the pool area. The only disappointment was the restaurant food, which didn't offer a great deal of choice. Exceptional service in all areas of the hotel from all members of staff. The only area for improvement would be to replace the lip of the door leading onto the sun terrace from reception with a seal that was flat - I couldn't get my mobility over it, it needs to be a flat surface.

Went to shopat 2.53 and the girl wouldn't serve us a loaf of bread as it was shut. Not supposed to close till 3pm. Was not impressed as next shop was a half hour walk.

Service would have been better if we were not told every day that the hotel was closing in 5 days, 4 days etc. you might be closing but we are on holiday.

We were staying for a week. End of season. The hotel was in closing up mode, the shop next door was dwindling down on the stock, which wasn't good unless you were eating in the hotel on full board, which we weren't as we were out and about a lot. We were 8euros away in a taxi to the little town, walk down was 20 mins, walk back was longer in the heat uphill too.
The staff were either really nice or didn't crack a smile ever
We got there 11.30 am, weren't allowed to check in until 3pm, which we were not aware of. The location and hotel is beautiful. One night had entertainment, a guy on a keyboard. Pools were lovely. The whole place was very clean, comfortable and very green with beautiful trees, bushes and plants. Beautifully laid out. Very very quiet. Lots of cats, that didn't bother you unless you went to them. The cockerel woke you up around 3.30am and just kept going, but only on the east side,so don't stay in Block 1 room 240 for example.
Reception staff were lovely
Housekeepers were great. Restaurant guy very nice and helpful. Staff in the little snack bar they barely opened not so nice.
Other guests were nice too.
