Sanctuary at nearly 500 m altitude with a breathtaking view preserving a gothic altarpiece

The visit and climb to the Puig de San Salvador is very interesting. The walk can be done on foot, from the road that goes to Porto Colom. After 2 km, a marked path leads to the Santuario de San Salvador. You can also get there by car following the direction of Santanyi. The sanctuary has the appearance of a fortress, but preserves a Gothic altarpiece and a remarkable image of the Virgin. The view from the sanctuary, which is almost 500 metres above sea level, is breathtaking, not only along the coast but also inland, as far as the Tramuntana.
