Heshima Camp is a small hotel located at the entrance to the town of Archer's Post when arriving from the south. Although it's outside the surrounding reserves, its setting is no less pleasant: the small river and the cliffs overlooking it are often visited by baboons. The establishment is a well-known address for backpackers and other budget travelers. In fact, it's an excellent base for day trips to Samburu, Buffalo Springs and the Shaba Game Reserve. The cuisine on offer is quite decent.
