Hire boats, with competent guides, for a one-hour trip on Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island, located a few hundred metres from the shore (count 2 hours in this case). Practical if you only come to spend the day at the lake and want to optimize your time there. But much less personalized than if you go through a hotel.
