YANAHUARA IGLESIA

Yanahura is located 2 km west of Arequipa. Cross the Chile River by the Puente Grau and walk along the Avenida Ejército until you reach the Avenida Lima on the right, which you will walk up for 5 cuadras.

This baroque church, which dates from 1750, is next to the viewpoint from which you can admire the Misti and the old part of Arequipa. Poems are engraved on the arches of this viewpoint. Worth a look. Good picanterias in the neighborhood (Sol de Mayo, Nueva Palomino) and cevicheria (Tio Dario). Explore the adjacent streets.
